Materials & Capabilities
Everything we cut, the machine we use, and the tolerances you can count on.
Everything we cut, the machine we use, and the tolerances you can count on.
We work with a focused set of materials, ones we know inside and out. Every material behaves differently under the router, and we dial in feeds, speeds, and toolpaths accordingly.
Our most-used material. HDPE is waterproof, chemical-resistant, and virtually maintenance-free, ideal for marine environments, food-service applications, and outdoor use. It machines cleanly and holds tight tolerances.
Solid hardwoods for furniture parts, signage, and custom pieces that need warmth and character. We can engrave, profile, and pocket-cut hardwood with clean results. Species selection depends on project requirements.
The workhorse for flat-pack furniture, shelving, and structural panels. Baltic birch cuts cleanly with minimal tearout. Marine-grade ply for wet environments. MDO for exterior signage and painted parts.
Excellent for backlit signage, display panels, and decorative parts. Cast acrylic produces cleaner edges than extruded. Available in clear, frosted, and a wide range of colors. Polished edges available on request.
G10 is a glass-epoxy laminate used where strength and dimensional stability matter in harsh conditions. Excellent for marine electrical panels, switch panels, and structural brackets. Machines similarly to HDPE but stiffer.
Carbon fiber sheet for lightweight, high-strength parts. Requires careful toolpath planning and dust extraction, which we take seriously. Best for custom automotive, marine, and specialty instrument panels where weight matters.
We run a CAMaster Cobra CR-510 ATC, a professional-grade CNC router with automatic tool changing. Toolpaths are designed in Vectric Aspire, which allows complex 3D carving, nesting, and precision profiling.
| Machine | CAMaster Cobra CR-510 ATCthe router that cuts every part we make |
| Bed Size | 60" × 120" (5 ft × 10 ft), handles full sheetsbig enough to cut a full sheet of plywood or HDPE in one pass, no seams |
| Tool Changing | Automatic Tool Changer (ATC): multiple bits, one runmeans faster turnaround since we don't have to stop and manually swap tools mid-job |
| Spindle | High-frequency spindle with variable RPMspeed is matched to each material for a cleaner cut |
| Software | Vectric Aspire: 2D profiling, pocketing, V-carving, 3D reliefhandles flat cutouts, engraved lettering, and sculpted 3D detail, not just straight lines |
| Positioning | Ball-screw drive on all axeskeeps cuts accurate and consistent from the first part to the last |
| Dust Collection | Integrated, required for composites and fine materialskeeps carbon fiber and fine dust out of the shop air and off the part |
CNC routing tolerances depend on material, thickness, tooling, and fixturing. Here's what we hold in normal production conditions.
| Positional Accuracy | ±0.005" (±0.127 mm), typical for well-fixtured partstight enough for parts that need to fit precisely against other components |
| Repeatability | ±0.003" run to run in the same setupif you order 50 of the same part, they'll all match |
| Edge Quality | Machine finish, smooth with light toolmarks. Sanding or finishing available on request.ready to use as-is for most projects; sand or paint if you want a different look |
| Maximum Sheet Size | Up to 60" × 120" in a single setupa full sheet of material, cut without needing to piece it together |
| Maximum Cut Depth | ~6" Z-axis travel (material-dependent)how thick a block of material we can carve into |
| File Formats Accepted | DXF, DWG, SVG, STEP, STL, PDF: vector or 3D solidsend whatever file you have, or no file at all, and we'll build one from your sketch or description |
DXF, DWG, STEP, STL, PDF, or a rough sketch. We'll review it and confirm we can cut it. No CAD? Describe what you need and we'll build the file.
We quote based on material, cut time, quantity, and any finishing required. You'll get a breakdown with no hidden fees. We'll recommend the right material if you're unsure.
Once you approve the quote, we collect a deposit and schedule your job. Custom and prototype orders typically require 50% upfront.
Parts are cut, inspected, and cleaned. We photograph production runs. If something's not right, we re-cut before it ships.
Ship anywhere in the US, or pick up locally in North Charleston, SC. Local delivery available for large orders.

Yes. Send a photo, sketch, or rough dimensions and we'll build the cut file from there. CAD files aren't required to start.
